Sunrise Oatmeal Recipe

Hello! How are you today? I hope you're doing awesome! I am starting a new workout/training routine this week and I'm excited about it. It involves lots of running, yoga, biking, and some weight training as well. I'm preparing for something that I'm not going to share quite yet because nothing is official and I want to wait until then. But I think I might bring back "Fitness Friday's" and share my journey with you all!. What do you guys think? Let me know! So you're probably wondering why I'm talking about working out when the title claims that this is an oatmeal recipe. Well it is! We're getting there. Last year I loved oatmeal. I ate it every single day for breakfast and was so excited for it each morning. It gave me an opportunity to be creative and I'll take any opportunity that I can get for that! I slowly fell out of the oatmeal habit this year and got more into watermelon and smoothie breakfasts. Now I love them more than ever and don't want to change that. It's been pretty chilly around here in the mornings lately (Where are you summer?) and I always drink my smoothies and get so cold afterwards. It was miserable because I hate being cold! I began to crave my oatmeal again to warm me up on chilly mornings and this is the first morning I had it again, so it had to be special! What about the watermelons and smoothies though? Well I still did that too! I got up to have a small smoothie before my workout and a small one afterwards. Then I made the oatmeal to warm me up. Woo, happiness!

This isn't exactly a recipe, but more of an inspiration to make delicious, happy breakfasts each day to start your day off right!

Sunrise Oatmeal Recipe

1/2 - 1 cup of oatmeal, cooked as desired
1 pear
Blueberries
A spoonful of chocolate date sauce, recipe below
Hemp seeds
Cacao nibs
Peanut butter

Combine everything in a medium-large bowl any way you'd like. Serve, enjoy!

Chocolate Date Sauce:
1 cup dates
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons cacao

Blend ingredients together in blender. This recipe will make about 3-4 servings. I don't think there's a problem with that though! You can store it in the refrigerator if needed for up to 7 days.
