I am so into sauces that I can whip up in no time at all. Hardly any prepping, no big mess, delicious with a capital D, and at this time of year – fall festive AF.
When I’m able to make sauces on my own it saves me time and money. Two things almost as precious as the excitement experienced by dogs when their humans get home.
I love it. And dogs. But that’s another story for another time.
That’s how I knew that I had to make something fitting with pumpkin. It wouldn’t be fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving without it!
Six ingredients, not counting the noodles, is all that it takes to have a fresh warm batch of this creamy fall alfredo in your hands.
The first pumpkin recipe of the season and it’s a good one!
*runs to the kitchen to grab one of these so that I can accurately describe it*
A soft and flaky outside, sweet and gooey inside. Cinnamon, pumpkin, caramel; mmm.
When I first made these I was looking for something quick to make that had the rich texture and taste of a fresh baked pastry from *insert your favorite bakery here.*
Somehow I have achieved the dream and these homemade pumpkin caramel pockets were born.
I’m all about creating simple recipes because let’s be real, we don’t always have 3 hours to spend making a pan of cinnamon rolls. Although, I do wish that was the case…
But since it’s not, I don’t want any of us to have to sacrifice taste, enjoyment, or health because we have a lot happening in our days.
I don’t know where I’m going with this thought other than letting you know that it’s cool. I got ya. Most of my recipes are and will continue to be busy life friendly.
And with that being said, let’s make some fall food!
I’ve been buying apples this year from a local produce market down the road from my house. I must say, I love doing this so much more than buying apples from the grocery store for a few reasons.
I’ve gotten to know the owners and they share information about the apples or upcoming produce that they’ll be selling. Pears are coming up and I am !!!!!! about that.
I get to support a small local company which as a yoga teacher and business owner (that’s weird/amazing to say) is so important to me because I am grateful when others do the same!
And I get amazing quality produce. The apples I got are huge and delicious. I love it.
As you can tell, I’m excited about the apples in my life and when I’m excited about something I’m all in. I tend to “accidentally” buy too much of it or get way over the top obsessed with it. In this case, I bought tons of apples. A good problem to have, I must say.
Now that it’s officially fall, I’m over my morning oatmeal and back on the smoothie train in the typical backwards fashion that I am. I figured that I need some way to use these apples in a fun way. That’s where these apple pops come in.
Sure, you can make slice up the apples, dip them in chocolate, top ’em with caramel and other fun toppings and just eat them like that. But putting them on a stick just amps up the excitement factor. What’s more fun than eating a sweet chocolatey apple on a stick? I really can’t think of too many things!
So grab your sticks, go on the hunt for some of your favorite apples, and let’s make some apple pops!
Hi friends! You’re probably wondering where I’ve been lately. Well I’ve had some crazy things happen that have kept me away from sharing things I love with all of my favorite people. Last week I found a dog that almost got hit with a car. I picked it up and brought it home while advertising […]
A few weeks ago my dad brought home some apples that he got from the Amish. He came home with boxes of apples. It’s been an apple overload around here. But none of us are complaining. Who would? So what does one do with an abundance of locally grown apples? Well the possibilities are endless, […]
This is the first year that I’ve got into the squash craze. Why did it take me 20 years?! That’s a question I’ll never know the answer to, sadly. But it’s better to start late than never, right!? And this is me advising you to start now if you never adventured into the squash section […]
