Sometimes you just need to make a fancy smoothie. It feels good, it taste good; it’s just so good all around. I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day so fun treats like this is my own way of celebrating. I hope you’ll join me! I recommend beginning to make this smoothie the day before you plan to […]
Regardless of if you’re into the Super Bowl or not, I think we can all benefit from some cookie dough footballs. I was feeling inspired today to create something festive/themed and at first I thought that maybe it’s a little too late to be sharing a Super Bowl recipe when it’s only one day away. But if you’re last minute like me, then I’ve got you covered!
A lot of what I make and share here is very much what I am eating lately. If I’m sharing sugar filled cupcakes, that’s what I’m eating. If I’m sharing raw vegan desserts, I’m into that. It’s all really clearly shown here and I am very much on the health train lately. I’m just not feeling too many sugary sweets which is so strange to me because sweets are (were?) my jam.
So today is all about the cookie dough footballs, but in a healthy way. There’s no reason that you can’t sit down to watch the game, halftime show, or commercials and eat healthy treats at the same time.
You can catch me tomorrow scavenging for a decent meal because I need groceries big time and eating my way through these cookie dough footballs. What do you plan to eat for the game?!
I’ve got to say, this year I have been killing it in the Christmas cookie baking game. Making so many cookies that I really don’t know who’s gonna eat them all. If you’re reading this then plz come over and have some cookies. Just give me a heads up before you get here so that […]
Who doesn’t love s’mores? The ultimate campfire snack coming to you in the form of bars. Think more chocolate with the soft sweetness of marshmallows all on top of a gooey graham cracker base.
All of the s’more without the campfire because let’s be real, we don’t always have access to a campfire and I’m not about to roast a marshmallow on the stovetop because it’s just not the same!
Which is why these bars are perfect; all of the s’mores cravings satisfied without having to try to mimic the campfire experience.
Ice cream. It’s my favorite dessert thing in the world. Well that and chocolate. But this ice cream has chocolate in it so I mean, it really can’t get any better than that. When I was younger I lived for the filling of Oreos. I’d eat the whole cookie but in a very specific way. […]
Remember the apples I bought and talked about forever in this post? Well I still have some of them hanging around and their time of crisp beauty is coming to an end. The warm temperatures around here are also departing leaving me with some apples on the verge of going bad and some thick socks that can’t combat the cold enough to help me regain feeling in my feet again.
Enough about all of that though. You’re not here to listen to me complain about the fact that I’ll be hibernating until April. Nope! You’re here for some cinnamon apple crisp and that is very exciting on it’s own!
I love making apple crisp because it’s so easy to make. You don’t need a lot of time, ingredients, baking talent, or effort to make it delicious. My kind of dessert. Let’s get to baking so that we can curl up with a fuzzy blanket, a good book, and a warm bowl of fresh baked apple crisp!
Happy Friday the 13th to all of my October loving friends! These cupcakes came to mind about a month ago when I was in the Halloween store with Darrin. I found Ouija Board ice cube trays and I was immediately like NEED. So off they came, straight home with me. I knew instantly what I was going to do with them and that was make these cupcakes. I mean, talk about a dream come true. A Friday the 13th to release double chocolate Ouija cupcakes on.
These cupcakes are a moist chocolatey cake topped with the best (naturally flavored) chocolate icing ever. Oh, and there’s also the white chocolate oracle topping the whole thing off. Activate ultimate Halloween mode.
No worries if you can’t get your hand on the ice cube tray. You can still make the chocolate and get creative with how you want to display it on top of your cupcakes. As I type this one thing comes to mind; ghosts! If you do end up making something different to top off your chocolatey dream cupcakes, make sure to show me what you came up with!
But for now, let’s get baking!
It’s October which is one of the biggest candy months of the year. It’s also the best month of the year because it’s my birthday month. What’s up.
In honor of both of those things we’re kicking things up a notch with peanut butter Twix bars, vegan style. And let’s be real, vegan style is THE BEST style there is because you get all of the deliciousness without any of the harm to the environment or the animals.
These Twix bars are relatively easy to make. Honestly, the most difficult part is waiting for the little buggers to set up in the freezer so you can drown them in melty chocolate.
Other than that you shouldn’t have any other struggles. Well except the fact that you might eat half of them in one sitting. But hey, that doesn’t sound like a terrible problem to me.
It’s time to embrace the season of candy. I’m so ready.
The first pumpkin recipe of the season and it’s a good one!
*runs to the kitchen to grab one of these so that I can accurately describe it*
A soft and flaky outside, sweet and gooey inside. Cinnamon, pumpkin, caramel; mmm.
When I first made these I was looking for something quick to make that had the rich texture and taste of a fresh baked pastry from *insert your favorite bakery here.*
Somehow I have achieved the dream and these homemade pumpkin caramel pockets were born.
I’m all about creating simple recipes because let’s be real, we don’t always have 3 hours to spend making a pan of cinnamon rolls. Although, I do wish that was the case…
But since it’s not, I don’t want any of us to have to sacrifice taste, enjoyment, or health because we have a lot happening in our days.
I don’t know where I’m going with this thought other than letting you know that it’s cool. I got ya. Most of my recipes are and will continue to be busy life friendly.
And with that being said, let’s make some fall food!
