I’ve been sharing a lot of drink recipes lately. If you’re into this type of thing then I’m sure you’re not complaining. If you’re not into this type of thing then what the heck?! But really, more non drink recipes are in the very near future so just hang tight.
I can’t resist blending up some healthy ingredients and creating an awesome drink like this. I mean come on guys, this was my lunch!! It left me feeling awesome and ready to do everything I needed to get done during my afternoon. I love being vegan so much.
Whenever people find out that I’m vegan they’re usually asking me what in the world I eat. They think that I’m on some limited diet of bland vegetables and rice. I used to think that way too but now we all know that’s far from the truth! That’s why I share so many sweet recipes like this. I want to show people that this lifestyle can be fun, awesome, amazing, easy, and doable for everyone!
Seriously though, taking care of yourself by being vegan is one of the absolute best and most rewarding things that you can do for yourself. Let’s all celebrate this lifestyle by making these cookies & cream milkshakes!
Cookies & Cream Milkshake
Coconut Whipped Cream: I used this recipe. It’s simple, easy, and delicious! Prepare your whipped cream and set aside.
Raw Chocolate Cookies: 3/4 cup dates
1/4 cup almonds
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon buckwheat
Blend together all ingredients until a ball is formed. Remove from blender.
Ice Cream Base: 4 frozen bananas
1 tablespoon coconut whipped cream
1 tablespoon coconut milk (or other plant based milk)
A few vanilla drops 1/4 cup raw chocolate cookies
Blend together bananas, coconut whipped cream, coconut milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add in raw chocolate cookies and pulse until evenly distributed throughout the shake.
Remove from blender and top with coconut whipped cream and little pieces of cookies. Serve, enjoy!
