Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

I feel like every few months I make a similar version of these cookies and share them here. Right before posting them I question it because I’m always paranoid that people will become bored with a similar recipe being posted over and over. Then I’m like oh well! These cookies are freaking awesome and I love them. So here they are, again. Not exactly the same as last time or the time before but similar and still delicious.

I love these cookies for a quick snack but they could easily be pared with some almond milk for an easy breakfast too! Cookies for breakfast?! I’m down for that.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

makes 8-10 large cookies

2 bananas
1 1/4 cup oat flour
3 tablespoons chocolate chips or cacao nibs
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
Almond butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend or mash bananas to a smooth consistency. In a medium bowl mix together bananas, oat flour, chocolate chips, and coconut sugar. Spoon mixture onto parchment paper lined baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with almond butter and more chocolate chips if desired. Serve, enjoy!

  1. Awesome, somehow I missed this recipe in the past (and happy belated). As for the almond butter, is that garnish or do you mix that in there?

    • Thank you Mohammad! You don’t have to use the almond butter. I used it more for a little bit of extra flavor. You could try peanut butter instead or just eat them as they are if desired!
