Raw Vegan Sweet Chocolate Squares (Nut Free)

When this recipe happened I didn’t really know what I was going for. I just knew that I wanted it to involve chocolate. I haven’t had anything really chocolatey in a while and I thought it was time because obviously I am pro-chocolate. Any chance you get to eat some chocolate, you take that opportunity and enjoy it. You can even think of me smiling and being happy for your awesome moment of chocolate indulgence to make it that much more exciting.
Anyways, That’s how these sweet chocolate squares happened. Consisting of soft and sweet bottom layer and a thick chocolate layer topped with hemp seeds and goji berries. Can it really get any better than this my friends? No, no it can’t.

Sweet Chocolate Squares

serves 12-14

Bottom Layer:
2 cup dates
1 cup oats
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoon cacao powder

In your blender or food processor blend together all ingredients. Press dough into a lined 12×8″ pan. Set aside.

Top Layer:
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup cacao powder
2 tablespoons mayple syrup

Mix together all ingredients. Pour chocolate on top of bottom layer and place in freezer to set up for approximately 30 minutes. Remove from freezer and cut into pieces, topping with goji berries and hemp seeds if desired. Serve, enjoy!

Store in refrigerator or freezer for up to 1 week.

  3. 1/4 tbsp maple syrup? Do you mean a little under a tsp or do you actually mean 1/4 cup?

Sorry for the confusion and thank you for pointing that out to me. It’s supposed to be 1/4 cup.
