Berry Ginger Smoothie

Hello dear friends. I hope you all had a great weekend. I love the weekends because on Friday I go grocery shopping; which means that the weekends are full of fresh and delicious fruits. I’m like a fruit monster on Saturday’s and Sunday’s (well every day actually) and theres’s nothing that makes me happier than that. Also, this weekend Create N Plate made it into the Twitter world. Back to what’s important here though; smoothies. Smoothies are always my go to. Self proclaimed smoothie queen right here. They’re portable and an easy way to get in tons of nutrients to fuel your body for the days events. Or an easy way to nourish yourself after a day of awesome events. Either or. Maybe both?!

This smoothie is packed full of antioxidants. Antioxidants have tons of benefits such as preventing diseases, boosting immunity, and repairing damage to your body’s tissues. Blueberries, spinach, bananas, almond milk, and ginger combined together to make a smoothie that will make your skin glow as bright as fireflies on a warm summer evening. Summer’s always on my mind. Man. Anyways, I added some ginger to this delicious treat as well because it’s great for digestion, helps with blood circulation, and is a great anti-inflammatory.

So many benefits, so many tasty components, so much excitement!

Berry Ginger Smoothie

serves 1-2

3 bananas
1 handful of spinach
1 and 1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup almond milk
1 small piece of fresh ginger, about an inch

Toss all ingredients together into your trusty blender. Blend, serve, enjoy!
